How to begin our euthanasia process for your pet:

If you and your family have decided it is time for euthanasia for your pet, that is the hardest first step. We are here to help you through the process.

Please explore our website to find the services you need for your pet (Consultation, In-home Euthanasia, or Aftercare / Cremation)
Request an appointment for a Consultation by completing the online New Patient Form
A pre-paid Telemedicine Consultation with Dr. Speizer. We will have a chance to get more information about your pet, your preferences and to schedule a time for the in-home visit.
Complete the Euthanasia Consent Form. Select and Pre-pay for the Euthanasia and your Aftercare choice(s) for your pet.
In-home visit where your pet will be safely, calmly and peacefully euthanized (put to sleep). We can help with transporting your pet to the cremation facility. We will return your pet’s ashes with or without urn, pendant and paw print to you if you choose Individual (Private) cremation.

We used kindhearted at the beginning of this year, and it still saddens us to have lost our beloved dog Fletcher. It was time and we would highly recommend Dr. Linda to anyone who has to go through euthanasia. The compassion, responsiveness and professionalism they showed throughout the entire process was great to see. Their ability to come to our home for the procedure as our dog Fletcher was unable to get to another location, really meant a lot to us.

Dr. Linda was incredibly helpful from consultation to follow up after the fact. Our dog Ozzy abruptly went downhill and knowing if "now" was the right time, was on of our hardest questions. Her consultation process was so helpful in making that clearer for us. Our kids and our other animals got to be with Ozzy and we never felt that she was stressed or scared. Dr. Linda was instrumental in helping us give our dog a good death and we will always be grateful for her time and care. I should also note that she did all this with us 2 days before Christmas. So shout out to Dr. Linda for being simply a stand up human and vet.

I cannot say enough about the beautiful experience I had with Kindhearted. It was time to say goodbye to my baby, Renzo and Dr Linda was phenomenal. She met with me virtually to go over everything. She was very kind and empathetic. She made me feel calm and gave me space to feel what I needed. When she arrived at our home, her energy was calming and peaceful. She was so gentle with my boy. She gave us all the time we needed. I cannot thank her enough for giving my family and my boy the gift of saying goodbye in our own way. My baby needed to be home. We had to go through one of our worst days with our Shepherd Loki. Dr. Linda Speizer made the experience a little less traumatic with her calm demeanor and her compassion. She understands how much our pets mean to us and let us grieve and take our time. I would recommend her services to anyone who has to make that hard decision. Thank you Linda.

Would recommend Dr. Linda's service to anyone who is needing to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to their pet. Doing it at home allowed us to let our nine year old wolfhound go in a calm, loving environment where he was comfortable. Linda is compassionate, very professional, and was able to see us on rather short notice.

I can't say enough good things about this entire service. From start to finish and follow up I felt comfortable and that my pet was cared for in the best possible way. Linda is kind, thoughtful and caring and compassionate. I am so grateful for her service allowing my baby to pass at home where she was safe and comfortable and not scared.

Dr. Linda is phenomenal! I recently had to say goodbye to Simba, my 12-year-old best friend and soulmate, after she went into liver failure. Simba has been by my side since she was a baby, and losing her has been devastating. When it came time to say goodbye, it was very important to me to let her go peacefully at home and in her favourite bed. Dr. Linda was truly a gift. She was so gentle, patient, and compassionate through every step. I couldn’t have imagined a better person to help us through such a heartbreaking moment. Dr Speizer is an incredible vet. She arrived yesterday to help us with our pal mal. Was a game changer to have her come to the house and our dog being so comfortable. On time and professional and truly caring. Helped our other dog as well know what happened to her companion. When she was at another vet hospital in oromocto years ago she was also my vet. Dr Speizer helped me with my Saint Bernard that had seizures. Helped me navigate the pet insurance. Sent us to the PEI animal hospital and went above and beyond to try to help Guinness. Saying goodbye to our dog, Willow, was one of the hardest things we’ve ever been through. Having it happen at home with such a compassionate vet made a world of difference. Dr. Linda was calm, gentle, and incredibly kind, and she never rushed us. She made sure Willow was comfortable and gave us the space and time we needed to grieve. We are very grateful to Kind Hearted Pet Euthanasia for the service they provide. Dr. Linda was very professional and kind in her approach, understanding what a difficult time this can be. She gave us the space (both literally and figuratively) to say goodbye in the comfort of our own home, making sure our boy's passing was as peaceful as possible. We felt she was very respectful throughout the whole process - from explaining everything she was going to do before doing it, to treating our boy's body with respect and dignity after he had passed. We would highly recommend this service, as we feel it helped us in our grieving.

Our dog was made as comfortable as possible during the ordeal and there was a lot of kindness shown towards us as well. I would recommend 100%!! All questions were answered and all requests were honored. A follow-up email was sent to see how we were doing and that was very much appreciated. This is an essential service for those who have pets that are part of a family. We can move on now, knowing we did the right thing in the right way.

Dr Linda was very kind and compassionate, very prompt with timing for the initial interview call and the euthanasia appointment, having dr Linda come to our home allowed my kitty destiny to know it was a safe time and space to go peacefully, she knew she wasn’t alone and she wasn’t in any pain. I really appreciate and value this service mainly because of how hard losing a pet is to begin with, having this service softened the blow. Dr Linda has reached out personally and has mentioned counseling services or for any further assistance with the loss and the grief following which I find very admirable and considerate, I opted to have a home burial for my cat and she provided a bag for her that was large enough to put her in a blanket and put some of her toys in with her she looked very comfortable and sleeping, she offers cremation as well and other memorabilia like paw prints. She is a very lovely vet and a very lovely person with very lovely and caring services. I would highly recommend this and dr Linda for anyone with a very terminally sick pet or elderly pet struggling with their quality of life as it will save you some emotional taxation.

Dr Linda was an important and special piece of our decision making process. She provided not only the necessary educational support, but also the emotional support we needed to say goodbye to our sweet Abby. We were only 4 weeks shy of Abby's 18th birthday and it suddenly became clear it was no longer fair to keep her. Being we don't have children and that Abby was our only dog, this decision was incredibly heartbreaking and overwhelming. Dr Linda was amazing and I found the resource materials/links on her website very helpful. We scheduled the intake/information appointment right away so that we could prepare ourselves and have our questions answered. Dr. L was very accessible, very supportive and provided the guidance we needed at each step. I found that completing all the required paperwork and appointment up front to be helpful. When she arrived at the door, we were very sad, but not afraid. We felt prepared which allowed us to focus on being as present as possible during our final few days, not thinking about the inevitable as much but cherishing each special moment. I prepared my home in a special way to honor Abby the best I knew how. Allowing her to go peacefully, in her own home, in her own bed, with no stress, was the right thing to do for all of us. I found the reviews I read to be very comforting and valuable during my decision making process; therefore, I am hopeful my review will also help someone. I highly recommend this gift to you or anyone you know facing this very sad and difficult time. Thank you Dr. Linda for providing such a meaningful and valuable service.

I contacted Dr Linda Speizer when My sweet boy Wrigley was not doing well. She was very kind and understanding of our feelings and provided us with the information we needed. When Wrigley took a turn for the worse the day before she was to come, I called her and she came that day. I was so grateful to her as I could not see my boy suffer another day. We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved 10-year-old Pitbull-Doberman, Cricket, after her battle with osteosarcoma. We chose to do it at home because Cricket adored her people and her bed — and Dr. Linda was incredibly kind and accommodating. She came to our home with compassion and professionalism, gently guiding us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. She was thorough in explaining the process but never rushed us, giving us the time and space to savour our final moments with Cricket. In the note she left behind, Dr. Linda even mentioned how Cricket was still happily eating treats during the euthanasia — a small detail that meant so much to us, and perfectly captured her spirit. Losing a pet is never easy, but Dr. Linda made it as peaceful and loving as it could be. We’re deeply grateful for the care she gave our girl, and for the comfort she brought to our family.

Losing a pet is the hardest thing and DR Linda made it easier. She guided us in understanding how Jordi was declining and when was the best time for her. She recommended sending her off on one of her ‘good days’. On the day she was so kind, thought of everything and created a safe space for us to grieve.

Dr Linda came to our home to put our 14 year old husky down. It was such a good experience for us and him. He struggled to get around so transporting him to a vet wasn’t our best option. We had time to say goodbye peacefully and are so thankful that they offer this service.

You allowed us as much time as we needed to love on lil Chicky Mama while she passed. I miss her so much but I feel such a weight lifted off me. I have been so worried about something terrible happening to her because she couldn’t hear, always worrying she would get hit by a vehicle, or the coyotes or an eagle would get her or she may even just take off to die alone. We're so thankful to Dr. Linda and her in-home services. Our sweet girl, Maisie, passed away peacefully at home where she felt safest. She had always been stressed when going to the vet's office. Instead of being stressed, she was able to spend her last morning at home, eating treats, and surrounded by comfort and love. We had several months between our initial consult and scheduling the date, and in that time, Dr. Linda checked in regularly and provided information and advice. From initial consultation to the days following, Dr. Linda has been kind and professional. She was present while also being able to fade into the background during the procedure. We were able to focus on our last few moments with our girl. She was flexible with our requests which we appreciate a lot. Thank you, Dr. Linda, for all that you do.

We have been through the sad experience of pet euthanasia too many times. This time we reached out to Dr. Linda for our sweet dog Nalu. We were extremely pleased with Dr. Linda's total process from: (1) an initial Zoom call to describe the process in detail and to answer questions; (2) a very professional, compassionate and caring peaceful euthanasia in our home, to; (3) a followup message a few days later to ask how we were coping with our loss and offering assistance. It is a great comfort to know that, thanks to Dr. Linda, Nalu's passing was peaceful and kindhearted.

It was our dog Lola’s time to go and we could not imagine bringing her to the vet clinic, a place she dreaded her whole life. Instead Dr Linda provided the most honouring experience of having her leave us from the comfort of her bed at home. Our other dog got closure too. My family cannot express enough, our sincere appreciation for the service provided by Dr. Linda on what was otherwise a terrible day. Due to a rapid decline in our beloved Chewie's health that happened overnight, we had urgent need for home euthanasia, and Dr. Linda at Kindhearted Pet Euthanasia was there for us every step of the way. Our dog had developed a phobia of going to the vet, and we really wanted to avoid having our last moments with him as a struggle to get him there. Dr. Linda listened to our story and agreed to make room in her schedule on that very day. She is extremely competent, professional, kind, calm, and reassuring. I'm so glad that we found her because I'm certain the situation would not have been resolved as peacefully and respectfully without her. Our highest recommendation!

Dr. Speizer went above and beyond for our family when we needed to put our dog down. Because of his diagnosis we scheduled quite far out, and as a result the appointment date changed several times. These changes were always so graciously accommodated which was so appreciated during such a difficult time. I think there's also a level of intuition that comes with this line of work - I'd often think "I should reach out", and she would message me before I did. Overall we felt very supported and well communicated with, and the actual appointment was as peaceful as it could be. It meant a great deal to us to be at home when our dog died, and we're grateful that this service, with such a human touch was available to support us.

Dr. Speizer helped our family through a very difficult hour where we had to say goodbye to our family canine companion Hannah. She was able to pass in her own home, on her favourite couch in the living room, surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Linda also provided us with information and advice that made it possible for us to give Hannah a home burial in our back yard where she spent many happy hours with me. We have had a number of cats through the years and parting with them at the end has always been greatly difficult. We always struggled with going to our regular veterinarian not because they were not great. But simply because it was so stressful for our pet which in turned made our stress higher. In those last moments of being with our pets, we never wanted to induce more stress for them but us just leaving the house did just that. We can’t even express the debt of gratitude that we owe Dr. Linda Speizer and are truly grateful for the service she provided. She was caring, compassionate and understanding…and gave Ducky the most beautiful and peaceful passing while we surrounded her on the patio deck. It was a rollercoaster of emotions these past few months as we dealt with Ducky’s health issues. Never did I imagine we’d have to make an emergency call to Kindhearted just over a week ago. Our poor little Ducky went downhill very quickly…from running and playing one week to lethargic, barely able to walk without shaking, and no appetite. What started out months ago with a dilated pupil and many vet appointments, was likely caused by a tumor which inevitably affected her to the point we had to make the tough decision to let her go. We were so fortunate to have had 12 beautiful years with her and very blessed that on the day we called Dr. Linda she was able to help Ducky cross over that same evening. I have only positive things to say about Kindhearted Pet Euthanasia and will be 1000% calling when it is Lennie’s time…way, way in the future.Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing Ducky such a peaceful passing in our home where she felt safe and loved…

We had to say goodbye to our fur baby. He passed away, surrounded by my family, with the help of Dr. L. It was hard for us to let go of our fur baby, however, with Dr. L services, it helped us ease some pain, seeing our fur baby finally went to rest in our own home. Dr. L services was phenomenal, professional, kind, and took her time until it’s time to say good bye. She included one of our fur baby and waited until she acknowledged that her brother finally went to sleep. Dr. L checked on us after, offered extended services and made sure we are okay in the process of our grievance. I hope that Dr. L will continue to help family like us and all the fur babies in need. We were so thankful to have our perfect dog of 12 years pass peacefully in our backyard while we loved, and petted her. We lost our girl after a long and beautiful life of almost 14.5 years. Dr. L assisted us with her end-of-life care. I cannot think of a better way to say goodbye to a loved family member and to help them cross the bridge. We know that our girl was not in pain, and that she left us with dignity which is 100% what she deserved after watching over us her whole life. We highly recommend Dr. L. Kindhearted is absolutely the way to help your pet cross the rainbow bridge. Tilley passed so peacefully after a long life of service and an equally wonderful retirement. We prepared a space in our home and Dr Linda came and was compassionate and knowledgable as well as walking us through the whole process. Tilley left this world with dignity. We wholeheartedly recommend kindhearted, we miss her but know we made her last day one of love and care.
